Risk assessment
Despite a reduction in Covid news coverage in the latter half of 2022, the virus and its effects continue to be a cause of some concern in the UK, and in the Bristol area particularly. Covid cases seem to ebb and flow on a 3 to 4 month cycle, and at the time of writing, cases are again increasing. Added to this is a rapid rise in FLI (flu-like illness), which, hopefully, will prove to be a seasonal phenomenon.
The government advises anyone with symptoms such as sore throat, fever, runny nose and cough to avoid unnecessary social contact.
Whilst not predicting the April 2023 situation, SCBSG advises members to consider both Covid and flu vaccination as preventative measures.
